Lost Crusader #255 Curses Foiled Again…Not

Have you ever prayed this line from the example Jesus shared? As the words tumbled from your lips, have you thought about what you are asking God to do? Now that you have paused to consider it, is that really what you want?

Thy kingdom come what does that mean exactly? It is a request for the Kingdom of God to appear here on Earth. The scriptures say this will happen. The prayer is an appeal for it to happen now. It is a signal that we are ready for the gathering of the Church at the Judgment Seat of Christ, the Great Tribulation, Armageddon, and the Great White Throne Judgment. If you have surrendered your life to Christ, you are ready. But what about friends and family? Are they ready?

Ready or not, one day all those things will happen. The Kingdom of God will come. On that day, there is no power in Heaven, Hell, or Earth that can thwart the power of God. You are certainly incapable of the task. The coming of the kingdom, its timing, its means, and its substance are all determined by the will of God. A will that is completely and perfectly done in heaven.

What would you give that everyone would be ready and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the kingdom on Earth? Would you give offense? Would you tell someone, as Isaiah did, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.?” Or is that too judgmental? If you are a Christian, it is the judgment you once leveled at yourself. With the same measure…

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Who thwarts God’s will in heaven? Do you really want that irresistible will of God loose in your earth, in your truth, and in your life? Here you are capable of denying God His will. At least I hear people, Christian people, say they have such power.

Personally, I don’t believe it. Sadly, I have resisted God’s will from time to time, but His will always wins out over mine. I found that I cannot alter the end result no matter how hard I try. If I fail and someone shouts, “Hypocrite!” I have not barred them from salvation or heaven. I may have given them yet another excuse to use in resisting God, but I haven’t “caused” them to be lost. Likewise, if I shout, “Repent sinner!” and my shout offends them, I have not doomed them. God’s Spirit will still pursue them to His conclusion. God’s will shall be done.

This is not an excuse on my part for being a poor example. I am commanded to be a good example. In fact, I have been commanded to do a great many things that I have yet to perfect. One of those things that I have been commanded is to do is to be a watchman, warning the lost. It will not do to fail at that knowing the kingdom is coming.
